GAMDAN OPTICS HYDROTHERMALLY GROWN KTP

Potassium Titanyl Phosphate crystals (KTP) is one of the most widely used nonlinear optical crystals in many optical systems. GAMDAN Optics offers GTR (gray tracking resistant) KTP crystals that are hydrothermally grown. We also offer flux grown KTP and will work with our clients to provide the most appropriate solution for your application. Both of these varieties offer low absorption. Hydrothermally grown in particular, offers significantly lower absorption in the green. Our KTP offers excellent homogeneity, high mechanical stability, and a UV grade super polish, with minimum roughness, for an optimal high-power performance. Contact us for more specific data on GAMDAN Optics KTP.

Hydrothermally Grown KTP Crystals

GAMDAN Optics hydrothermally grown KTP crystals have a significantly greater grey tracking resistance compared to flux grown KTP crystals.

They are manufactured at an optimally low temperature that reduces the probability of defects, oxygen vacancies, crystal strains, or reduced metal centers. In addition, the closed autoclave growth system allows for zero to minimal chemical impurities and the constant growth rate lends an excellent homogeneity or uniform yield throughout the bulk crystal.

All of this contributes to outstanding performance, making GAMDAN Optic’s Hydrothermally Grown KTPs preferable in high power frequency conversion applications.

Flux Grown KTP Crystals

Flux grown KTP crystals offer a better price advantage. It is also easily fabricated in larger dimensions.

Like our hydrothermally grown KTP crystals, flux grown KTP crystals also offer excellent homogeneity. Here are some of their specific parameters:

  • Excellent homogeneity, WFD of λ/10 @633nm

  • UV grade super polish for optimal high-power performance, with a roughness: <5Å, S/D of 0-0

  • Highly competitive pricing for volume application

Applications

KTP crystals are most commonly used as a frequency doubler for Nd:YAG and other neodymium doped lasers from IR to green. Our KTP crystals are used in frequency generation (SHG, SFG and DFG), optical parametric oscillation (OPO/OPG), and optical parametric amplification (OPA).
